Purpose
Participants will be given a health care specific overview of the public workforce system, as well as a distinct collaboration opportunity concerning the recently released solicitation for grant applications from the US Department of Labor. Kathy Hund, Kansas Department of Commerce and Board of Regents Director of Workforce Education and Training, and Cara Greve, Kansas Hospital Association Director of Workforce, will summarize the state workforce system— KANSASWORKS and outline the DOL Health Care Sector and Other High Growth and Emerging Industries grant proposals due October 5th. The goal is to coordinate a collaborative approach and facilitate broad strategic partnerships, thereby giving all Kansas stakeholders heightened ability to secure resources aimed at overcoming health care workforce challenges.

Community hospitals, long-term care providers and health care education/training institutions.
